This season Begg & Co. have launched three new scarves in collaboration with the charity Maggie's.
Maggie's provides free practical and emotional support to people with cancer and their family and friends from its network of architecturally unique centres across the UK and abroad.
Inspired by the stunning architecture, Maggie’s Triangle scarf, inspired by the triangular shard shapes of the Maggie’s Centre in Kirkcaldy designed by the late Zaha Hadid. The varying dark blues evoke the stunning colour and shapes the building projects at night. Maggie’s Crosshatch: Inspired by the original sketches for the Manchester Centre by Foster & Partners. The crosshatch design emulates the open woodwork of the roof construction. Maggie’s Border: Inspired by the exceptional modern architecture at all Maggie’s Centres. The neutral base shade evokes the natural stone and concrete, while the flashes of colour add an optimistic feeling in the same way colour is employed in the actual buildings.
Begg & Co will be donating all profits from the sale and manufacture of the scarves to Maggie’s, enabling the charity to support and grow its network of centres and to develop its unique, high quality programme of support. The charity’s aim is to make the biggest difference possible to people living with cancer as well as their loved ones.
