Launching today, Converse announce exclusive collaboration with Footpatrol.
Footpatrol has been a key sneaker destination since the shop’s inception in 2002, and the Converse One Star sneaker has led several subcultural lives since it debuted as an update of the iconic All Star silhouette in 1970. This unique collaboration includes a special One Star sneaker and accompanying Coaches Jacket inspired by London’s sneaker culture and the mysterious kerb stone markings unique to the Soho area where Footpatrol resides.
Premium materials and unique detailing relevant to Soho landmarks in this reworking of the One Star make this a true product of the streets that made it legendary. Just as the Converse One Star represents subcultural roots far beyond its original basketball intent, London’s Footpatrol celebrates the foundation of their home city as well as the sneakers that they love.
Created to accompany this reworking of the One Star, a classic Coaches Jacket celebrates the collaboration paying homage to London’s influence on streetwear culture.
To celebrate the collaboration, FootPatrol chose their 5 ‘Jewels of Soho’ stores & locals who are genuinely part of Soho street culture, captured in a photography series shot by Ollie Grove featuring which will be showcased online & in-store.
