After the success of 2016's collaborative project with Beams T and Japanese illustrator Yu Nagaba, Goodhood team up with Beams T once again for another triple threat project.
This time working with cult Tokyo-based artist Ken Kagami for a series of graphic T-Shirts, Caps, Posters and an exclusive limited edition Zine. Working around the theme of the fictitious 'Trendy Art Club', the products are indicative of Kagami's trademark witty and subversive work.
Blurring the lines of pop art, graffiti culture and pop culture appropriation, Kagami produces work that that is instantly relatable and darkly humorous. The artist also operates a retail space in Tokyo, The Strange Store, that features a one-of-a-kind mix of clothing, found objects, ephemera, art works, and zines. This coupled with his hyper-active (and hilarious) Instagram account has garnered Kagami a cult following over recent years and cemented his position as an artist to watch.
As two entities proud of championing young artists and providing an alternative platform for them to present their works, both Goodhood and Beams T saw Kagami as perfect partner for this special project.
