There's no better way to celebrate a decade of success than with your friends.
As the Scandinavian brand turns ten, they have partnered up with people from the brands past and present to start a debate about topics ranging from periods, LGBTQ, cyber bullying, body hair and sisterhood. As Managing Director, Lea Rytz Goldman states, "empowering women has been part of the Monki DNA", the Monkifesto campaign represents a new step in changing the attitudes towards issues that affect women in modern society.
To front its Monkifesto campaign, Monki asked Kiran Gandhi, musician and activist who advocates against period stigma, Karley Sciortino, sex advice columnist and blogger, Rita Popova, Russian product developer and young manager, Sarah Moore and Minerva Amiss, lovers and activists, female film collective Sorta Kinda Maybe Yeah, DJ and art duo Mahoyo, Flora Wiström, author and blogger, Danielle Vanier, body positive fashion blogger, and Monki’s own staff to share their perspectives on topics ranging from LGBTQ issues, periods, body hair, cyber bullying and sisterhood.
The campaign was shot by photographer, gender activist and artist Arvida Byström in Stockholm and includes, apart from photographs, filmed interviews and in-depth discussions with each spokesperson.
