This summer The Hundreds delve into their Californian roots, creating a collection inspired by the states workwear, pop, and surf culture.
This season the collection address the current global and local climate change. Taking classic silhouettes and updating them with lighter textiles, such as cotton linen and loop terry, the summer 2016 Wilted State custom pattern involves an ensemble of hand-drawn California native plants—from holly to lilac, fried egg flowers to black-eyed-susans. The print showcases dying flowers, drawing awareness to the drought’s effect on agricultural landscapes.
The Coastal short-sleeve woven: sees The Hundreds implement cotton linen into our collection for the first time in history, notably on the Coastal short-sleeve woven - is a lightweight piece that doesn’t absorb excess heat. The Marvin short-sleeve hoodie & Pool shorts are designed to be worn moments after leaving the water with their loop terry fabric construction and lightweight feel. Whilst the Slick T-shirt gives you an updated basic made from a loosely knit waffle pique piece—allowing for a newfound breathability and functionality.
