Founded in 2014, Swedish label Axel Arigato is a contemporary label under the creative direction of Max Svardh and Management of Albin Johansson, who’s background includes project managing groups such as Members.com and NLYMan.com, and Max Svardh, who founded womenswear fashion hub Milkandhoney.se.
Having seen a gap in the market, both founders created a collection of luxury footwear with affordable prices. By forgoing traditional channels and engaging with customers directly, Axel Arigato manage to stay on top of the ever-growing digital age by releasing one new style every week. The social media platform, Instagram, enabled their direct-to-consumer brand, and the strategy has resulted in a fiercely loyal customer base.
During Spring 2016 a small leather goods collection will be introduced, followed by a bag collection. Category expansion and exploring other design areas is an important step closer to building Axel Arigato as a modern brand. With the concept of ”drop of the week”, the weekly releases allows the brand to sidestep traditional seasonal collections.
